Hi Sewing Friends:

I know I’m always preaching about fitting pants.  It is because it is so difficult to determine how to fit pants. I love to wear pants and personally spent a small fortune trying to get a good fit.

Many of you want to see photos of pants after the Common Sense Fitting Method was applied.  So, I am going to give you a link to some before and after photos to show you an example of an unbalanced body.

Sewing Project - Fitting Tips

Hi Sewing Friends:

“Are two sizes better than one?”

That was the question sent to me this week.

I later learned exactly what the person meant.  She wanted to use two different size sewing patterns to try to make her pants fit, but not in the sense that you might think.

Now, most of you are familiar with multi-size sewing patterns.  You are also familiar with tracing one pattern size for your waist, tapering to another size for your hips, etc.

But, you generally trace the same pattern size front and back for the waist and the same size for the front and back hips.  For example, if your hips are 44, you trace size 44 front and back.
