This article is useful and contains some good links to helpful sites. A couple of suggestions for new sewers:- 1. Get advice or help from an experienced person, if you can. 2. Borrow books from your local library to help with your first sewing project. 3. Use eBay to pick up used items to save paying the new price. Check out their prices for sewing machines, patterns & notions at http://www.mysewingworld.com/index.php 4. Do take on an easy project to start with and build up your skills slowly 5.
