This sewing video is one that you won’t want to miss.  Add it to your sewing video library.

Sewing inset corners on shawl collars, gussets, and various other places in sewing is often a big challenge for many sewers.  We need to know how to use this sewing technique not only in our garment sewing, but in home dec as well.

This 90 degree square corner seam isn’t usually explained very well in sewing pattern instructions. 

Don’t let that stop you from sewing something with an inside corner.  Learn this technique to sew any angle.

Shirley Smith has a sewing video that describes one of the best sewing techniques for this seam.  She uses cotton organdy to stabilize the seam and explains in detail how to accomplish a beautiful square corner. 

Take a look and try it.  Shirley’s instructions are very clear and precise.  Follow them to achieve greater sewing success to sew inset corners at any angle.
