Most of you are familiar with either pinking, zigzagging or serging a seam edge to finish it and help keep it from fraying.

Have you ever wondered what a bound or Hong Kong seam finish is and where and how you use it?  You will not only learn what it is, where and how to use it, but discover that there is more than one way to make a bound or Hong Kong seam finish. 

It really isn’t difficult to do.  Even if you are a beginner, you can make a Hong Kong seam finish on your garment.  Here are a few suggestions and tips for you.

Sewing Video - Rolled Edge

Serging a rolled hem edge is often a challenge for many of us.  I know I have had some rolled edges fall off the fabric in the past.   This is very frustrating.  Don’t despair.  There is an answer to help you serge more professional looking rolled hem edges even on the most sheer fabrics.
